North Carolina Pastor calls for homosexual death camps
Meet Pastor Charles Worley of Providence Road Baptist Church in Maiden, North Carolina. He wants to round up all the homosexuals and surround them with an electrified fence until they "die out".
Is it any surprise that Amendment 1 passed so easily in a state with this level of hate speech flowing from the pulpits of local churches?

Everything is holy now
Many of us who have shed the beliefs of our upbringing, or were never believers in any faith to begin with, face one recurring criticism probably more than any other. We are often portrayed as having no purpose without a belief in a god or gods, a hopeless existence devoid of any real joy or pleasure.
I have even met non-believers who sometimes wax nostalgic for their former faith and the comfort it once gave them. I don't understand this. Having seen and experienced faith, I can compare what I feel now about the world and universe around me and the perspective I have gained with my former faith, and there is absolutely no comparison for me. There is such beauty in nature and science that we are just beginning to understand and answers to questions that religion never even thought to ask.
Someone sent me the following video; it is probably the best summation of how I feel about my atheism and my new outlook on life and the universe. Enjoy!
